Air New Zealand is refuting allegations it portrays women in a sexist light in marketing videos.
Women's rights organisation Stop Demand is claiming the airline depicts women as objects, after a series of marketing campaigns including the naked granny flight safety video.
Air New Zealand claims the ads are popular, but Stop Demand founder Denise Ritchie says that doesn't make it okay.
"That falls woefully short when weighed against respect, ethics and integrity," says Ms Ritchie.
"I think for a national brand, they could do a lot better."
Ms Ritchie is urging the airline to re-think its marketing, saying promotions such as "fares lower than your grandma's boobs" are inappropriate.
Air New Zealand is rejecting the criticism, with CEO Rob Fyfe saying the accusations have no substance.
