As Reserve Bank governor Dr Alan Bollard counts down his final days in the top job, there's still strong debate over his handling of the housing market and the kiwi dollar.
During his 10 years at the top, he says the global financial crisis was by far his biggest challenge, and along with the Christchurch earthquake, forced him to slash interest rates to a historically low 2.5 percent.
3 News Business Editor Michael Wilson caught up with Dr Bollard in Wellington to review his decade as governor, and he says with hindsight he may have handled the housing boom differently.
