KFC's latest offering doesn't just fill your stomach and arteries -- it can also charge up your phone. A little.
Stores in Delhi and Mumbai are now offering the 'Watt a Box', which contains not just chicken but a powerbank. Customers can literally plug their phones into the box their food came in.
"Each one of us spends a considerable time on our smartphones daily, and the phone battery going dead is almost like a nightmare," said KFC India's Lluis Ruiz Ribot. "No longer is that the case, with the Watt a Box around."
Local paper the Deccan Chronicle wasn't impressed, saying the powerbank is not very strong and "fails miserably to charge devices fully, or even fast".
Tech news site BGR said after half-an-hour the Watt a Box was drained, and it only charged an iPhone 5S up by 17 percent.
KFC's last big innovation on the other hand, the Double Down, did a fine job of delivering energy -- to customers' waistlines, that is.
