The nominees for the 88th official Academy Awards were officially announced overnight, with no overly outlandish surprises.
Big names such as The Revenant, Mad Max: Fury Road and The Martian are all up for a prize, alongside some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, like Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Eddie Redmayne, who are all vying for the Best Actor prize.
Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson and Jennifer Lawrence are among those nominated in the Best Actress category.
