7 Days crew promise 'X-rated' jokes in live shows

The 7 Days team is about to embark on its fifth annual live tour of New Zealand.

They will perform live onstage in 10 different cities around the country.

It kicks off on Sunday night in Wellington, and ends a few weeks later in Palmerston North.

7 Days regular Ben Hurley says the live show delivers more than what you see on TV.

"It's great, because it's all the bits that get cut out of the TV show 'cause they're too rude or whatever. You get to see that first-hand live, raw," he said on Firstline this morning.

"I keep my top on, but apart from that it's pretty X-rated."

Cast mate Urzila Carlson says it's fun going on the road, but there's a downside to being the only woman in the van with eight guys.

"I try and keep it tidy, but you can only say 'pick it up' so many times."

7 Days has been on the air for five years now. Both Hurley and Carlson thank the Government for its success.

"We've got a government we can mock and that's quite handy," says Hurley.

"They make it really easy," adds Carlson.
