Hollywood’s hottest are hitting the red carpet for the 73rd annual Golden Globes.

The ceremony is celebrating the best movies and television shows in 2015.

Unsurprisingly, if nothing else, streaming is already the winner of the day - Netflix received the most nominations, with eight in total, Amazon up for two, as well as US-only streaming service Hulu nominated for one.

Ricky Gervais is back for his fourth time hosting the event.

Ricky Gervais begins the Golden Globes. In his speech he makes fun of Jennifer Lawrence's stand for equal gender pay.

He then introduces Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, who he mentions have not won a Golden Globe before.

To keep track of who has won what look at the complete nominations list.

Here some of the stand-outs so far:

The Netflix original series Orange is the New Black’s Lavern Cox is radiant in white.

Sam Smith looked dashing as he told the Hollywood Reporter that his favourite bond is Daniel Craig. The 23-year-old Grammy award winning singer performed the theme tune for the latest Bond instalment.

David Hasselhoff and his iconic smile are out in full force.

J-Lo is a stand out in this mustard number.
