Aaron Paul says Breaking Bad has had "one of the longest goodbyes in television history".
The actor, who played Jesse Pinkman in the hit show, took home the Outstanding Supporting Actor gong at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards this week for his role.
And while the programme came to an end earlier this year, Paul said he feels honoured to be able to bid farewell to such a huge part of his life in victorious style.
"It's an embarrassment of riches, being involved in something as special as Breaking Bad," Paul told Entertainment Weekly.
"This is probably one of the longest goodbyes in television history - and it's a damn good one."
As well as Paul's prize, his co-stars Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn also took home gongs, while Breaking Bad was named Outstanding Drama Series at the ceremony.
"We were so stunned about not only the win for the show, but how the whole evening played out. It was way better than we could ever have imagined," Paul said.
"It was just so nice to have yet another excuse to get together and celebrate what we had done throughout the years. But then to win is just a whole other level, and I feel very blessed."
Prior to the Emmy's, Paul kept himself busy by hosting a scavenger hunt for fans around Los Angeles, giving them the chance to meet some of the stars of the show and win signed memorabilia.
And Paul said it put things in perspective to see just how many fans the programme has obtained over the years.
"That was amazing, just to see hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people running around the city to find things that are from the show," he said.
"I think that's a testament of what the show really means to the world."
