The latest in the series of themed safety videos from Air New Zealand hits the small screen from today.

Starring Rhys Darby and Hollywood actress Anna Faris, the video takes you on a tongue-in-cheek journey through various popular movie genres.

Another celebrity makes an appearance, Chester the Chihuahua, who has previously starred in Transformers and Grey’s Anatomy.

The video was filmed at Warner Brothers Studio in Hollywood. It’s the second time the airline has worked with the studio.  They also teamed up to produce the Hobbit in-flight safety videos.

The video was filmed on the same sets as Jurassic Park, Casablanca, War of the Worlds and TV series True Blood.

Hollywood actress Anna Faris said she loved working with Rhys Darby.

"It’s so easy to tune out when watching a traditional safety video, so it comes as such a delightful surprise when you get something that’s really fun and funny."
