US President-elect Donald Trump has again lashed out at Saturday Night Live and acclaimed Broadway show Hamilton, prompting stern responses from entertainment industry figures.

On Twitter, the former Celebrity Apprentice host slammed SNL as "one-sided, biased" and "nothing funny at all" after the latest episode, also demanding "equal time".

The episode featured Alec Baldwin as Mr Trump, comically underprepared for his upcoming job as the most powerful man in the world.

The 30 Rock star responded to the social media attack with a series of tweets explaining the show will not be giving "equal time", and giving advice on being President.

Mr Trump also doubled down on his demand for Hamilton to apologise for delivering a message about love and inclusion to Vice President-elect Mike Pence, which he called "harassment" and "terrible behaviour".

Despite Mr Pence himself saying he was not offended, Mr Trump attacked Hamilton again, reiterating his demand for an apology.

His own daughter disagrees about Hamilton being "overrated". Back in March, Ivanka gushed over the show, which cleaned up at the Tony Awards.

Musicians including Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, rocker Axl Rose and pop star Pink have taken to Twitter to respond to Mr Trump's attacks on the celebrated production.

Over the weekend, the billionaire tycoon settled his Trump University fraud case for US$25 million, after vowing he would never settle it - newspaper USA Today suggests his Twitter outbursts are simply an attempt to divert attention.
