Singer/actress Amber Riley is poised to make her West End debut in the upcoming revival of musical Dreamgirls.
The former Glee star will take on the role of Effie White, the character who sings the show's iconic number, 'And I Am Telling You'.
Riley, who previously sang the anthem on her hit TV series, follows in the footsteps of actresses Jennifer Hudson, who won an Oscar for the role in the 2007 film, and Jennifer Holliday, who won a Tony Award for originating the part on Broadway in 1981.
Dreamgirls, which tells the story of a young female singing trio's rise to superstardom, will debut in London in November, with direction and choreography from Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw.
