While it did win best picture at the Oscars, Argo has created a storm in New Zealand with Parliament voting to condemn the Ben Affleck-directed film for misrepresenting the role of our diplomats in the Iranian hostage crisis.

The film implies that the New Zealand embassy did not help the American diplomats – "Kiwis turned them away," a CIA agent says.

But in reality New Zealand diplomats played a key role in helping the Canadians to hide them.

Now the Nightline team has recreated part of the film to better suit a New Zealand audience.
