Ubisoft has taken to Gamescom to unveil the latest trailer for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.

Titled "The Twins", the new trailer shows "two different approaches, a common objective" as the twins Evie and Jacob Frye fight back against London's rich oppressors and the Templars' strangehold on the city.

Jacob is a brash, skilled fighter "with lightning-fast multikills and countermoves", while Evie excels at stealth.

In the open world, players will have a choice of playing as either Evie or Jacob, but some missions will be locked to one character or the other for narrative reasons.

The open-world side missions all tie into the idea of building up your gang to take over London from the underground, like fighting in gang wars, executing train, boat, and carriage heists, and liberating child workers from abusive foremen.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set for worldwide release on October 23 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on an unspecified date in spring 2015 for PC.
