Rapper Azealia Banks is a free agent again after severing links with entertainment mogul Jeff Kwatinetz's Prospect Park management company and label.

Banks announced the industry news on Twitter on Monday less than a year after signing with Prospect Park and eight months after releasing her long-delayed debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, in November.

A spokesman for the label confirmed the news on Tuesday, explaining that the company decided to cut ties with Banks, adding, "We believe she’s one of the most talented artists in the world and are very proud of the work we did on her behalf. We wish her all the best."

Banks was previously signed to XL Recordings, but she parted ways with the company due to creative differences and self-released her break-out single '212' in 2011. She signed a deal with Interscope in early 2012 and released her debut EP, 1991, and a mixtape.

Interscope released her from her contract last summer and she signed to Prospect Park two months later.
