EA has announced Battlefield Hardline's open beta will run from February 4 - February 9 (New Zealand time).
The beta will be available on all platforms that Hardline is launching on - PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
Exactly when the client will be available to download will vary from platform-to-platform, but those wanting to play on PC can pre-load the beta through Origin from 7am on Tuesday, February 3.
There is no level cap during the beta, though progression won't carry over to the full game. Three maps and three game modes are included: Conquest on the Dust Bowl map, the new Hotwire mode on Dust Bowl and Downtown, and Heist, another new mode, on the Bank Job map.
Battlefield Hardline also features Hacker mode, similar to Commander in Battlefield 4, which lets players hack security cameras to provide surveillance for their team. Hacker mode will be available in all of the Hardline beta's game modes.
Finally, anyone with a Battlefield 4 account who takes part in the Battlefield Hardline beta will earn an exclusive dogtag for Battlefield 4. It will be unlocked in the next patch for Battlefield 4.
