Beach Boys returning to Mt Maunganui

Legendary band the Beach Boys are heading to New Zealand for a one-off concert in Mount Maunganui this November.

The group are responsible for several timeless hits including 'God Only Knows', 'Wouldn't It be Nice', 'I Get Around', 'Good Vibrations', 'Barbara Ann', 'Surfin' USA' and 'California Girls'.

Founding member Mike Love will be performing as lead vocalist, joined by Bruce Johnston and Tim Bonhomme both on vocals and keyboards, Jeffery Foskett and Scott Totten both on guitar and vocals, Randell Kirsch on bass and vocals and John Cowsill on percussion and vocals.

The Beach Boys previously played Mount Maunganui in 2004 alongside classic soft rockers Chicago.

The upcoming concert, marking 50 years of Beach Boys music, will take place at the 3000-seat ASB Arena on November 24.

Tickets go on sale on Monday June 15 through eventfinda.co.nz.
