For all Billy T James fans across the generational and cultural divide, his inimitable giggle is a national treasure of its own.
Now fans can soak up Billy T: Te Movie, a mix of Billy T archive footage, woven together with insights and anecdotes from his family, friends and colleagues, and from comedians and commentators he's inspired since.
There are a few dramatic scenes shot as re-creations in a bid to provide more historical background.
These jarred for me, detracting from, rather than adding to, my Billy T experience.
It’s still an interesting journey into the life of one of our most beloved entertainers.
