Britain’s Got Talent star Hollie Steel has released a recording of 'Pokarekare Ana', with all funds raised going to the Christchurch Earthquake appeal.

Hollie’s official website says she “loved the song” after hearing Hayley Westenra’s version, and after seeing footage of the Christchurch quake the 12-year-old asked if she could use proceeds to help New Zealand.

The song is now Save the Children New Zealand’s official fundraising single for the earthquake appeal.

Save the Children, in partnership with Plunket and Barnardos, is providing ‘Journey of Hope’ programmes for children and families affected by the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.

The programmes “provide psychosocial support for children, their parents and caregivers following an emergency”, according to Save the Children New Zealand’s website.

The track is available on iTunes and Amazon.
