People get ready - the Boss is coming back.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are returning to New Zealand for two shows in Auckland and Christchurch in 2017.

Last on our shores in 2014, the summer of 2017 will see Bruce, Little Steven and the legendary band tour Australasia, including their first show ever in Christchurch.

Australian rockers Jet are reuniting to play support, and in New Zealand, Marlon Williams and the Yarra Benders will be special guests.

In Christchurch, the Boss will play at AMI Stadium on the eve of the 2011 Christchurch earthquake anniversary.

In the wake of the devastating earthquake Bruce's song 'My City Of Ruins' became a poignant and inspirational unofficial anthem for the city, so it's sure to be an emotive show, Frontier Touring says.

Last time he graced our shores, the Boss opened his shows with a cover of Lorde's 'Royals', followed by all of Born in the USA on the first night and Born to Run on the second - as well as new hits and old classics.

Both shows will be all-ages events.
