Calvin Klein's ex-boyfriend Nick Gruber has called off plans to write a memoir about his tumultuous relationship with the fashion designer.

The model was due to open up about his two-year romance with Klein in an upcoming tome, tentatively titled What Came Between Me and My Calvin, and his co-author, who wished to remain anonymous, said, "This is the only way he can get closure. He has a lot of secrets about Calvin and he has the right to tell people. If it was just (Gruber's) story, then there's no way we could sell the thing, but because it's about his relationship with this very private, very high-profile person, it's generating a lot of interest."

But now the 23 year old, who received offers of up to £234,375 to the book, has pulled out of negotiations with publishers, insisting he's had a change of heart about the project.

He tells TMZ.com, "I decided I no longer want to do that anymore. There was a ton of interest, but I just did not want to hurt him or others. I am a good person, not a mean person. Love is a beautiful thing. Money doesn't matter at all."
