Chris Brown is urging fans to donate to an anti-violence charity.
The 23-year-old singer was convicted of assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
The ‘Kiss Kiss’ hitmaker is rumoured to be dating Rihanna once again.
But it seems Chris is trying to prove he has turned a corner by promoting a non-profit organisation called Break the Cycle on Twitter.
“Team Breezy! Vote for love & respect! Only a few hours left. RT!” he wrote on Tuesday afternoon.
The message accompanied a Facebook link for Break the Cycle.
The organisation is among hundreds competing for a grants via the American Giving Awards presented by Chase Bank.
“Our mission is to engage, educate and empower youth to build lives and communities free from domestic and dating violence,” reads a statement on the page, where supporters were able to vote.
Winners of the 2012 American Giving Awards will be announced on December 8 on US television network NBC.
Chris’ tweet comes a week after he de-activated his Twitter account following a vulgar rant directed at an American comedy writer.
Jenny Johnson told the singer to get help after he called her “worthless” and a “thirsty b****” when she brought up his assault conviction and called him a “piece of s***”.
In one of his first tweets since returning to the micro-blog this week, Chris seemed to vow to move past the negativity.
“Time to start fresh. #newchapter,” he tweeted earlier Tuesday afternoon.
