Comedian Chris Tucker is preparing to make his Hollywood comeback - he's in talks for two new movie roles starring alongside Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper and Ben Stiller.

The funnyman, who was last seen on the big screen in 2007's Rush Hour 3, is negotiating a part in director David O Russell's drama The Silver Linings Playbook, based on the novel by author Michael Quick.

The film follows a former teacher who tries to rebuild his life after four years in a mental institution and would see him work with De Niro, Cooper and Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Tucker has also been linked to a part on forthcoming comedy Neighborhood Watch, written by Knocked Up star Seth Rogen. The film is set to star Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Superbad's Jonah Hill, reports trade paper Daily Variety.

Tucker has been keeping himself busy over the summer performing on tour as a stand-up comic.
