Central Christchurch has been dazzled by lights of all shapes and forms as part of the FESTA weekend.
Headline event Lean Means includes designs from across New Zealand and across the ditch, which sparkled as Cantabrians wound their way around the Christchurch Art Gallery.
The event is all about a cleaner, greener New Zealand with the installations "up-cycling" materials.
The Ribbon installation (Newshub.)
"Ribbon", designed by architecture students at Unitec, has created the effect by cutting plastic into string. The frames used to weave the ribbon are also recycled and came from waste at a Hornby factory.
The fences of No Offence (Newshub.)
"No offence" was created by special design students at University of Auckland. They knew security fences were a common sight in the Garden City, so they wanted to create a textile piece using several waste fabrics.
