Claire Danes took her baby son along to this year's Golden Globes so she could breastfeed him throughout the ceremony.

The Homeland star gave birth to a little boy named Cyrus in December, her first child with husband Hugh Dancy, but she didn't let becoming a mother stop her from attending the Los Angeles awards show the next month.

Danes won the coveted Best Actress in a Dramatic TV Series prize for her turn in Homeland, and now admits she spent the evening dashing in and out of the auditorium to feed her son, who was being looked after by her parents.

She tells America's Vogue magazine, "I went on the red carpet, went upstairs, fed Cyrus. Went into the ceremony, got the award, went back to feed Cyrus, went out again... Then it was 'Now you meet the president' (when she was introduced to Barack Obama at the show). I had these new boobs; I'm wearing a big Jessica Rabbit dress, and I'd been living in sweat pants for so long... It was strange. It was dreamy, surrounded by my parents and my husband. It was one of the best nights of my life because of this perfect mash-up."
