Danny Elfman pens horror soundtrack for presidential debate

Danny Elfman, the brains behind the music for The Simpsons and a plethora of iconic horror film soundtracks, has turned his eye on the US election as the inspiration for his latest musical score.

Elfman, who composed music for the likes of Sleepy Hollow, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Goosebumps and Hitchcock, has used Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as his new muse.

Entranced by the creepy way in which Trump prowled in the background of the second presidential election while his counterpart, Hillary Clinton, spoke, Elfman titled his latest piece 'Trump Stalks Hillary'.

Using greyed-out footage from the debate, Elfman created an equally ominous video to complement his latest composition.
