DeLonge moves to end Blink 182 feud

Tom DeLonge has attempted to make amends with his former Blink 182 bandmate Mark Hoppus after the pair engaged in a war of words over the guitarist's exit from the group.

Frontman Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker announced in January that DeLonge had left the band indefinitely and they all became embroiled in a public spat during which they revealed long-running issues and resentment between members.

DeLonge has now attempted to put the drama in the past by reaching out to Hoppus and telling fans there is no hate between them, writing in a post on Twitter, "I will never dislike @markhoppus - too many years as my closest friend. I want him to be happy."

Hoppus has yet to respond to the message.

Blink 182 is scheduled to play at the Musink Festival in California later this month with Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba replacing DeLonge.
