Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is launching his own YouTube channel, to be entitled Seven Bucks Digital Studios.

The professional wrestler and actor announced the news this week during VidCon, the world's largest online video conference.

Seven Bucks Digital Studios is the latest addition to Johnson's social media empire, through which he already has more than 122 million combined followers.

The channel will feature Johnson's own videos, a scripted action series, and will promote projects from his production company Seven Bucks Productions.

It will also feature other creators who share his ethos "to inspire, motivate and entertain."

Johnson has released a teaser video for the channel, styled as a mock movie trailer complete with an over-the-top voiceover.

"Call the president of the internet, tell him Rock's got a helluvan idea," Johnson says in the video, before adding "the Rock's gotta clear his, um... his browsing history."

The Seven Bucks Digital Studios YouTube channel is set to launch on July 18.
