Eagles of Death Metal (EODM) have just announced they will be playing in New Zealand next month.

The band will be returning to the country for the first time in nearly a decade, where they last played at the St James in 2007.

They're scheduled to play at The Powerstation on March 22.

The band are beginning their tour in Stockholm on Feburary 13, exactly 3 months after the Paris attacks where gunmen and suicide bombers hit the Bataclan concert hall where they were playing, as well the Stade de France stadium, and various restaurants and bars which killed 130 people and wounded hundreds.

EODM have just released their fourth album Zipper Down, their first new studio release since 2008.

Joining frontman and guitarist Jesse Hughes on the road is Eden Galindo and Dave Catching on guitars, Matt McJunkins on bass and Julian Dorio on drums: it appears founding member Josh Homme will not be joining the tour.
