Elizabeth Olsen claims Sigourney Weaver taught her how handle situations on a movie set.
The younger sister of twins Ashley and Mary-Kate has forged her own Hollywood career away from her famous siblings.
Thanks to roles in movies such as Oldboy and Kill Your Darlings, Elizabeth has become a highly sought after actress.
When she worked on the 2012 movie Red lights, which co-starred Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver, Elizabeth was able to pick up some valuable tips from the acting greats.
"The coolest things about working with Sigourney was watching her disagree with the director [Rodrigo Cortés] in a non-disagreeable way. And he didn't feel bad. She was so good at communicating why something needed to be a certain way. It was my fourth film I'd ever done, and I was like, 'That's how you do that,'" she laughed to Total Film.
Next up 25-year-old Elizabeth is set to star in Godzilla.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, at first Elizabeth wasn't that bothered about the part but the director quickly changed her mind.
"He was really jet-lagged and had just been doing the same pitch over and over. He said, 'I've been doing this so much that I might miss things or even repeat myself,' and I was like, 'Whatever Godzilla'. Then he started showing the previsualisations and he explained to me what my role would be.
"He said, 'I don't like the way it is in the script right now. I'd like to continue to develop it.' It was kind of cool to hear we want your part to have more substance than what it does now, which just holding a place. Automatically he opened himself up to being a collaborator," she remembered.
