British chart-topper Fatboy Slim is set to make history by becoming the first DJ to perform in Britain's House of Commons.

The ‘Praise You’ hitmaker will play a special gig at Parliament's terrace bar in London on 6 March to mark the conclusion of the House The House competition for talented young DJs.

Fatboy Slim says, "I've played some exciting and unique places around the world from Bondi Beach to The Great Wall of China to (an) igloo but playing in the House of Commons might be the most unique to date. I'm a proud supporter of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (charity) and the work that it's doing with House The House.

"Music is a huge part of my life and to give something back in this way is amazing."

Fatboy Slim - real name Norman Cook - will spin into action as the warm-up act for the winner of the contest, which is benefiting the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation.

The charity unites global dance acts and fans in raising awareness and funds for humanitarian and environmental causes.
