The first image of Amber Heard as Mera in the upcoming Justice League has been released.
Mera is queen of Atlantis in the DC Comic universe and the wife of Aquaman, who is being played by Jason Momoa in the film.
She's expected to have a supporting role in Justice League, before being the female lead in Aquaman's standalone film.
Heard hit headlines earlier this year after filing for divorce from Johnny Depp and claiming he was physically abusive to her.
Zack Snyder's Justice League will be an ensemble superhero film and a sequel to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
In it, Bruce Wayne / Batman enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, to face an even greater enemy. Together, the pair will recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.
Justice League will also star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher. It is set for a November 2017 release.
