A new documentary is set to give comic book fans a behind-the-scenes look at George Miller's abandoned Justice League movie.
Warner Bros studio executives hired the Mad Max director to take charge of the DC Comics blockbuster in 2007, but the project was axed just months after Miller assembled stars including Armie Hammer as Batman, DJ Cotrona as Superman, Adam Brody as The Flash and Common as Green Lantern.
Now Australian filmmaker Ryan Unicomb and producers Aaron Cater and Steven Caldwell are set to shed light on what went wrong on Justice League Mortal and find out what Miller had planned for the popular characters by organising interviews with cast and crew.
Unicomb has yet to approach Miller himself about the documentary, but hopes to gain access to never-before-seen artwork and costumes.
The project, tentatively titled Miller's Justice League Mortal, is expected to be made in a similar vein to The Death of Superman Lives, a recent documentary about Tim Burton's aborted Superman movie.
A release date has yet to be announced.
Warner Bros bosses have since returned to the franchise, with Man of Steel filmmaker Zack Snyder directing Justice League Part One and its sequel, which are slated to hit theatres in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
