Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones is back on Twitter, defying not just the haters and trolls, but also the International Olympic Committee.

Jones has been posting clip after clip from the Rio Olympics, including some of the NZ women's sevens team's match against USA.

Surprised by their lack of pads or helmets, Jones said the "bitches is tough whaaaaat" and were "no where near the Victoria secret football league shit" [sic].

She also expressed a love for the rules of rugby, in a tweet with a clip captioned, "The scrum is set. New Zealand gets to roll it in."

She said she'd like to see them play the Giants, an American football team.

Jones' no-holds-barred commentary has also caught the attention of NBC, which has invited her to Rio to join the commentary team.

Jones quit Twitter only a few weeks ago after being subjected to a tidal wave of harassment from racists and people who didn't enjoy the all-female Ghostbusters reboot.

The International Olympic Committee says it has banned animated GIFs of this year's Games, but it remains to be seen whether Jones' avalanche of clips recorded on her phone lands her in any trouble.
