The Lego Movie filmmakers Chris Miller and Phil Lord are taking charge of a new Star Wars spinoff movie about Han Solo.
The directing duo will explore the origins of Solo in the new project, which will be written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan ahead of a 2018 release, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Casting details have yet to be announced. Harrison Ford has portrayed the character onscreen since the original Star Wars movies and reprises the role for the highly-anticipated sequel, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.
The Han Solo stand-alone movie is the latest Star Wars anthology film to be developed by Disney studio executives.
Star Wars: Rogue One, the first in the spin-off series, which will explore the characters and events beyond the Star Wars saga, will feature Sam Claflin, Felicity Jones and Diego Luna, among others, and hit cinemas in December, 2016.
