When you interview Hollywood stars like Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms of The Hangover Part II, you have to have good hard questions, like are the penises in the film real.
“There was a real penis and there was a fake penis,” says Cooper.
“The one that you’re probably asking about was 100 percent real,” says Helms.
The sequel to 2009’s hugely successful The Hangover really puts the kok in Bangkok. I won’t go into details but the shift from Las Vegas to Thailand certainly raises some new plot points.
It’s essentially the same movie as the first, but in a different setting.
Cooper said it was a hot, sweaty production and the most surreal moment was when former US president Bill Clinton turned up on set, declaring himself a massive fan.
“He asked me ‘Is there going to be an A-Team 2’ and if he could be in it,” says Cooper.
The Hangover Part II also stars capuchin monkey Crystal. She’s been in over 20 films and is incredibly well-trained.
The highlight of The Hangover Part II for me though is Ken Jeong. The first Hangover made him a true comedy superstar and led to him starring in hit TV show Community.
“Because of the first Hangover I got offered a part in Community to be a series regular on that show,” says Jeong. “In my opinion, it’s the best sitcom on television in America right now.”
Crystal the monkey has also worked with Jeong on Community – they’re a match made in heaven.
Jeong bares his part of his body in Community, but he shows full frontal nudity in both Hangover films.
“He has the greatest penis,” says Helms.
“I was just about to say that,” adds Cooper. “Not only is he a great guy, but he has just the most phenomenal penis.”
Before Jeong was an actor, he was a doctor. He still renews his medical license every year.
The Hangover Part II is in cinemas throughout New Zealand today.
