Based on IO Interactive's hit game franchise, Hitman: Agent 47 follows an elite and genetically engineered assassin, known only by the last two digits - 47 - of a barcode tattooed on the back of his neck.
His latest target is a young woman on the run from powerful and clandestine forces. The mission brings startling revelations about the lethal agent and his prey, hurtling them on a collision course with their pasts.
And this time, his number may be up.
Hitman: Agent 47 is directed by Aleksander Bach and stars Rupert Friend as Agent 47, Zachary Quinto as John Smith, Thomas Kretschmann as Le Clerq, Hannah Ware, Ciaran Hinds and Dan Bakkedahl.
The Hitman franchise was adapted into a previous film, 2007's Hitman, which was directed by Xavier Gens and starred Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47.
