More details about The ABCs of Death have been released revealing how one budding filmmaker can become part of the new anthology film project along with a team of the world's most acclaimed contemporary genre filmmakers.
In order to win the honour of directing a segment in the highly anticipated new film, the undiscovered director must create a short film showcasing a death with a ‘Holy Shit factor’ that impresses more than all other entrants.
The ABCs of Death is the latest brainchild of New Zealander Ant Timpson (Incredibly Strange Film Festival, V48Hours), which he is co-producing with Drafthouse Films and Magnet Releasing. It will be an anthology film comprised of 26 shorts, each showcasing a form of death related to a letter in the alphabet.
The letter ‘T’ has been nominated for entrants in the competition, meaning the short films must be inspired by a word beginning with ‘T’. The winner will also receive US$5000.
The list of 25 already announced directors is a highly impressive list of modern independent genre filmmakers in the world. They are:

In addition to producing a segment for the anthology each, the 25 directors will also choose the 26th from the top 10, which will be voted on by the public.
