Iggy Pop has hinted he may be set to retire after wrapping up work on his new project with Josh Homme.

The veteran rocker has teamed up with the Queens Of The Stone Age frontman to produce a new album titled Post Pop Depression, and they are planning to head out on tour in the US together after the record's release in March this year.

However, Iggy has sparked fears for his future in the music industry by declaring the project could be his last.

"I feel like I'm closing up after this..." Iggy tells Beats 1 presenter Matt Wilkinson. "That's what I feel. It's my gut instinct... If you call me and you want to work out a deal to come and sing 'Happy Birthday' at your mother's (house), something like that, I'll refer you to someone but to really make a real album you really have to put everything into it and the energy's more limited now."
