The Independence Day sequel now has a start date and a working title.
The much-anticipated blockbuster will shoot in Albuquerque, New Mexico from May 5, under the title ID Forever.
The film will pick up 20 years after the events of the first movie as a new wave of alien 'reinforcements' arrive on Earth in response to a distress signal sent up by the 'first wave' of extraterrestrial visitors.
Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum will reprise their characters from Independence Day in the film, which will also feature newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Jessie Usher.
