Jared Leto was reportedly questioned by police following a scuffle at the airport.

While the 43-year-old actor was passing through Los Angeles International Airport, his friend is said to have caused upset with a photographer.

According to TMZ the paparazzo claimed Jared's travelmate punched him in the face. Apparently the photographer suffered a bloody lip as a result and called the police. Law enforcement sources have informed the outlet "they responded for a possible battery".

Cops spoke to Jared and other parties associated with the matter, but they determined no arrests needed to be made and everyone was let go.

The website reports things ended on a good note, as Jared's friend shook hands with the pap who got injured.

The actor is currently taking on the iconic role of The Joker for upcoming comic book flick Suicide Squad. The character was famously played by the late Heath Ledger in 2008's The Dark Knight and he was awarded a posthumous Oscar for his portrayal.

Jared's Suicide Squad star Jai Courtney recently spoke about how his colleague has fully invested himself into The Joker.

Jai states there are very few if any remnants of Jared's personality at the moment.

"I don't think any of us are naïve to the pressure he's perhaps under. It's not something I've talked about with him, but I've seen him working and it's cool, man," Jai told MTV News, before being asked if the star has gone method.

"Sort of. I don't know how you measure that these days. I haven't seen him, since we started working, out-of-character, let's put it that way."

Jai portrays Captain Boomerang in the production, which boasts an all-star cast including Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Will Smith, Scott Eastwood, Ben Affleck, Viola Davis and Joel Kinnaman.
