Actress Jodie Foster has married her photographer girlfriend Alexandra Hedison.
The Oscar winner tied the knot with Hedison over the weekend, less than a year after they began dating.
A representative for Foster has confirmed the news to Eonline.com.
The marriage is the 51-year-old actress' first.
Foster confirmed long-running speculation surrounding her sexuality when she 'came out' as a lesbian at the 2013 Golden Globes, when she was presented with the prestigious Cecil B DeMille Award.
She used her acceptance speech to thank her ex-partner Cydney Bernard, with whom she has two sons, Charles and Kit.
Hedison was previously involved with comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The couple split in 2004.
