Lorde producer Joel Little was a double-winner at the inaugural Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards (VNZMA) Artisan Awards in Auckland on Thursday evening.

For his work on Broods' sophomore album Conscious, Little won the Tuis for Best Producer and Best Engineer at the prestigious ceremony at the Pullman Hotel.

The Artisan Awards is described as a special platform created by Recorded Music New Zealand to celebrate and honour the success of New Zealand's music technicians and highlight their achievements over the past year.

The evening's other awards were Best Album Cover, which went to Anns Taylor for her work on Lawrence Arabia's album Absolute Truth, and Best Music Video, which went to Chris Lane for Avalanche City's 'Inside Out'.

Broods lead the nominees at the 51st VNZMA main ceremony, which will take place at Auckland's Vector Arena on November 17, with a live broadcast on TV3 from 8:30pm. It will also be streamed on TV3.co.nz.
