There ain't no party like a Jono and Ben party - the funnymen have just completed a mammoth undertaking of pulling off 24 parties in 24 hours.

In a special episode to be broadcast tonight, the pair venture to an island and with the help of internet company MyRepublic embark on a crazy party marathon.

"We've been partying all our lives, but we elevated things earlier this week by having 24 parties in 24 hours on an island near Waiheke," says Jono.

"It's probably more partying than we've ever done in our entire lives, to be honest, but we couldn't make them all big epic parties - we had to throw in like a slumber party and an awkward dinner party," adds Ben.

The other parties include a hen's do, a baby shower, a Tupperware party, a rave, a toga party and even a wedding.

"We couldn't do the same party twice - every party had to be different," explains Ben.

Jono says the very best was the leaving party.

"When we left and went home," he jokes.

"No, the most fun one was actually the children's birthday party. It was early in the morning, we hadn't had much sleep and the kids were getting on our nerves. I went a bit angry. I might've swiped a table-load of presents and cake off the table, pushed the table over and booted the kids off the island.

"That was my favourite party, because it's not every day you get to be that angry."

Ben's favourite was the romantic and intimate slumber party he shared with his co-star.

"It was Jono and me under the stars and we got to sleep for an hour," he gushes. "Well it was meant to only be for an hour, but it may have been a couple of hours. That was the best one for me."

Nobody ever needs a reason to party, but why on Earth did the boys decide to attempt such a crazy feat?

"Let's be honest, this is a shameless promotion," admits Jono.

"We have a TV show and a radio show and social media, we got lots of things to get out there," adds Ben. "This was something we wanted to do and MyRepublic broadband came to the rescue and helped us do it."

Having the stunt funded by an internet company led to some impressive results, says Jono.

"We turn up to this island and it's got nothing. It just had a long-drop toilet, which we shone a torch down and sheez, you should of seen these rats it had at the bottom. That's a bleak existence, isn't it?

"We needed internet access for broadcasting and what not. So MyRepublic brought the internet over and it was 5G - like the best in the country! So it went from nothing, to the best," he says.

After the marathon effort, the pair are surely two of New Zealand's most qualified party experts - so what advice do they have for hosting your own?

"Just don't throw a party," says Jono. "Turn up to parties, for sure, but don't host your own. Be all fun, no responsibility."

Viewers can tune in to the epic Jono And Ben party tonight at 7:30pm on TV3.
