Brooklyn artist Desiigner has appeared on American talk show Wendy Williams to perform his hit single 'Panda' following commercial success.

The high energy performance featured a dancing panda in a Stussy t-shit, accompanying the just-turned 19-year-old.

Desiigner's success has been almost exclusively attributed to his association with Kanye West, who signed the then 18-year-old to his G.O.O.D  Music label. West also featured him on his latest album The Life of Pablo.

Wendy Williams asked the performer about what insights West had passed on to him, to which he replied:

"He gave me this, he told me this, all the time,  he be like 'we ain't rappers man, we artists'."

What could the public expect from him in future:

"Well like everything, movies, albums, mix tapes, tours, merchandise -- everything, I'm coming in from every creative angle I could. I'm an artist, I'm giving them everything."

And if he was currently single:

"I got a lot of bras that I can return."

'Panda' is now at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts; peaking at number one a few weeks ago.

It was the first American rap song to top the charts since Jay Z's 'Empire State of Mind' in 2009, but there has been questions raised over its authenticity.
