Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has had yet another mean-spirited joke made at her expense in the form of a Halloween costume parodying her armed robbery in Paris last month.

The 35-year-old was robbed of some $US10 million in jewellery after masked men put a gun to her head and tied her up in a Paris apartment early on October 3.

The 'Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit' from Costumeish, a Southern California-based costume retailer, doesn't mention Kardashian's name, but does refer to "America's goddess of all things glamorous" and "the Queen of Social media".

User comments included offended people calling the costume "disgusting", with amused others calling it "hilarious and fun".

Following comments that the product promoted "rape and anti-female culture", Costumeish pulled it from sale.

Meanwhile, Kardashian is suing celebrity gossip website MediaTakeout for claiming she lied about the armed robbery.

Kardashian, whose show Keeping Up with the Kardashians is on hold following the robbery, filed a lawsuit in federal court in New York accusing the site of reporting that she staged the attack "without any factual support whatsoever".

The lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages for defamation, names both the site and its founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga, as defendants.

Mr Mwangaguhunga refused to publish a retraction and an apology "for calling her a liar and a criminal", the lawsuit said.
