The case against five teenagers wrongly convicted of an horrific attack on a female jogger in New York's Central Park 23 years ago is the subject of a new documentary to be released this week.

The African American teens were implicated in the 1989 crime, where a woman was raped and left for dead.

The Central Park Five, from director Ken Burns, focuses on the interviews done with the five teenagers, now men, who are each seeking US$50 million in damages from the City of New York.
