New Zealand songstress Kimbra is preparing for a big night at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, leading the nominations with six.
Hamilton-born Kimbra’s nominations include single of the year, best female solo artist, breakthrough artist of the year and the people's choice award.
She is also nominated for best pop album and album of the year for Vows, which debuted at number 3 in New Zealand and number 5 in Australia, and is certified gold in both countries.
I caught up with Kimbra yesterday ahead of the music awards tonight.
The VNZMAs hosted by Shannon Ryan and Ben Boyce will screen on FOUR, live from 8:30pm on Thursday November 1 and will be streamed at www.four.co.nz.
