In a process involving bodily fluids and knitting, Melbourne-based radical artist Casey Jenkins has taken her work to an extreme new level.

Ms Jenkins calls herself a "craftivist" and her latest work is called 'Casting off My Womb'.

"I placed the wool inside my vaginal tunnel and I knitted from it," says Ms Jenkins. "So each day I went into the gallery with wool inside me and I spent about six hours - it took about six hours each day."

"It feels akin to holding the wool in your fist."

Ms Jenkins says the process can sometimes be a little uncomfortable, and other times a little arousing.
