Veteran rockers Led Zeppelin are to release two previously unheard tracks which were recorded with a group of local musicians during a trip to India in the 1970s.
The songs, reworked versions of the band's tracks 'Friends' and 'Four Sticks', were laid down during a studio jam with a group of Bollywood session musicians in Mumbai in 1972 and they are now set to be released for the first time on a remastered version of the band's final album, 1982's Coda.
A statement posted online reads, "In 1972, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page took a fabled trip to India to perform with the Bombay Orchestra and now, for the first time, recordings from these sessions will be officially released with dynamic takes on 'Friends' and 'Four Hands' (an alternate version of 'Four Sticks' from the album Led Zeppelin IV)."
The Coda re-release hits shelves in July along with special edition versions of Presence and In Through The Out Door, which have all been reworked by Page.
