Leonardo DiCaprio's new film The Revenant and Jennifer Lawrence's Joy have emerged as frontrunners for the Best Picture Oscar in the latest odds released by awards show website GoldDerby.com.

A dozen of America's top film critics have served up their picks for nominations on the site, and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's upcoming release has scored two top film votes and 11 for a nomination next year. Joy comes in second with one best movie nod and 11 for a nomination.

Cate Blanchett's new film Carol, biopic Steve Jobs and The Danish Girl, starring this year's Best Actor Academy Awards winner Eddie Redmayne, round out the new top five, while Bridge of Spies, Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, Inside Out, Black Mass and Mad Max: Fury Road make the top 10.

Meanwhile, Blanchett and DiCaprio lead the lists for Best Actress and Best Actor, ahead of Lawrence and Redmayne.
