Lindsay Lohan is reportedly planning to tell-all about "predatory Hollywood" in an autobiography.

The 29-year-old actress has been through many highs and lows, including multiple spells in prison and rehab. She's now got her personal and professional life back on track after moving to London, UK, to appear in the play Speed-the-Plow, and it's claimed she feels the time is right to pen a book about her experiences.

"She wants to tell everything, even some of the stuff that happened when she was a kid growing up in predatory Hollywood," a source told Radar Online. “She wants to tell the truth in her own words - about her folks, her job, her love life, the drugs, the parties, the highs, the lows, the lies.”

Lindsay's mother and father Dina and Michael had a difficult breakup when she was younger, and her relationship with Michael has been troubled too. He famously released a number of recordings he'd secretly taken, in which Dina revealed Lindsay had been dating Heath Ledger around the time of his death in 2008. Another featured Lindsay upset and crying as she claimed that no one really cared about her.

Last year a list of men alleged to have romanced Lindsay was published. She was said to have penned it as part of her rehab treatment, but it was discovered by someone else and sold on. This was said to be the catalyst for the star to write about her life.

"She hated that her past had come back to haunt her and had no control over what was exposed," the insider said. "Now she wants to start afresh with all her skeletons laid bare."

News the actress was planning a book was first reported last year, with Lindsay insisting it wouldn't be a tell-all and would actually focus on the positive.

"I would never write to violate someone else or objectify them; that's not my intention. I like to write because it's like therapy for me. I want to put a lot of photos and cool stuff, it will probably be like a trilogy, like Harry Potter because there's so many," she told MailOnline.

"I've kept journals my whole life, since when I was a kid and stuff and I think I have a lot to say."
